Teleradiology enables your practice to benefit from the expertise of Board-certified radiologists, who have undertaken at least three years of postgraduate training in diagnostic imaging. The number of qualified veterinary radiologists worldwide is very low,  with only one or  two radiologists qualifying in the UK each year.

At the same time, the number of imaging procedures undertaken in practice has increased greatly.  This expansion has included traditional modalities such as radiography, as well as more advanced imaging procedures such as MRI and CT, which have become more widely available.

Teleradiology entails the transmission of images via the internet for specialist interpretation. This enables off-site reporting of imaging studies, with a rapid turnaround service to improve the quality of patient care in your practice. The relative cost of an expert radiological opinion is low compared to the time and expense spent obtaining a radiograph.
